Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino shared Ring footage of a scary moment at the family dinner table in Holmdel.
The MTV "Jersey Shore" star sprung into action when he noticed his 2-year-old son Romeo choking on his favorite pasta dish, pesto gnocchi, in a clip she shared to Instagram Saturday morning, Feb. 3.
Footage shows the child hunched over in his seat at the table and in seconds, his parents realize what's happening.
Sorrentino pulls his son from his chair and smacks him on the back until the food becomes dislodged. The child soon cries and collapses into mom Lauren's arms.
"THE SCARIEST MOMENT OF OUR LIVES," The Situation captioned the Instagram footage. "It was an ordinary dinner at the Situations when suddenly without notice Romeo started choking on his favorite pasta pesto gnocchi !!
"He hunched over and wasn’t breathing 😩 I am so proud of how my wife and I didn’t panic, didn’t hesitate and eventually dislodged the food which was blocking airway and saved his life.
"I love my family with all my heart and am so grateful things worked out 🙏🏼 it’s safe to say we are now taking CPR lessons and Romeo won’t be having gnocchi anytime soon."
